IV: Oblivion
Over the last week of April 2025, I've been playing Oblivion because the remaster just shadow dropped. I pirated the remaster and kinda wanted to play the original more, so I downloaded it. I last played this game on my Xbox 360 around 2012 where as I had gotten up to the final area in "Light the Dragonfires" and I could not progress because every time I loaded the save, it would say Martin was killed or something of the sort and for some reason I had no backup saves and it was all I had. I was young so I couldn't explain why I did anything... It annoys me to this day I never actually "finished" the game.. And before I go through my class, this is my completionist google sheet to keep track of everything i've done or explored because I want to be able todo as much as I can :)

My Class
Im playing as a Khajiit under the Birthsign of The Thief with a custom class made for stealth. My Class is Focused In Strength and Endurance, while my major skills are in;
I've named the Custom Class Jobless just as a way that I won't have any real specific way that I will playing but just be a jack of all trades even though stealth is fun to me I might not even use it that much.I want to be a Character in which that tends to help everyone (if im not currently actively doing anything) and always keep a clean bounty even if the mission requires me to do something that gains it, unless it is inevitable.. I don't have much intentions on using magic compared to how I play Skyrim, and I'll focus on One Handed more this playthrough.
The Story so Far...
28th-29th of Last Seed, 3E433
Emperor Died, Gave me amulet, upon exiting sewers, I explore the Ayleid Ruin "Vilverin", and I travel to Weynon Priory to meet Jauffre. I go to find Martin in Kvatch but find Oblivion gate, Shut down gate and clear town, and talked to Martin about the previous mentions and bring him back to Jauffre. Upon getting back there was an ambush and had to leave for Cloud Ruler Temple and arrived safely.
29th of Last Seed - 3rd of Heartfire, 3E433
My new objective is to get the Amulet of Kings back, and I learn about the "Commentaries on the Mysterium Xarxes" and I try and find my way back to the Mythic Dawn Cult. I found all 4 Volumes and found the hidden location "GREEN EMPEROR WAY WHERE TOWER TOUCHES MIDDAY SUN" and revealed the location of a gathering place for initiates. I infiltrate and Steal the "Mysterium Xarxes" and return it to Martin to decipher.
4th-5th of Heartfire, 3E433
Jauffre had spotted two spies at the town below Cloud Ruler Temple in Bruma, I eliminated them before they could arrange an attack on us while we are still waiting for Martin to decipher the "Mysterium Xarxes". I return back to Kvatch where I closed the Oblivion Gate and helped the people there take back over the castle of Kvatch, successfully taking it back from Daedric.
6th-7th of Heartfire, 3E433
Taking a change of pace, I've gone on the search for the Thieves Guild to join and progress the ranks of them. As a result I had to create a bounty for myself that would let someone approach me when getting out to tell me interest in me for the thieves guild. I meet at midnight with Armand Christophe and race two others to steal and item and return for a position in the thieves guild in which I won.
9th-27th of Heartfire, 3E433
I ran a couple of Guild errands for Armand to prove my worth and was given over to S'krivva for higher ranked jobs for me todo, typically including more risk. There were many run ins with Hieronymus Lex who is an Imperial City Watch Captain, and is the nemesis of Grey Fox (leader of thieves guild) and getting to the point of forging documents and getting him sent out of the Imperial City and to Anvil instead. As a result I was granted a rank to receive jobs directly from Grey Fox.
29th of Heartfire - 15th of Frost Fall, 3E433
Grey Fox sent me out directly to recover the Savilla's Stone, the Arrow of Extrication, and the Boots of Springheel Jak who was a master thief 200 years ago but died, learning that he was alive but a vampire living underneath his house. All these items were collected to complete a major heist of getting an Elder Scroll from the Imperial City Library to which only the blind monks have access to. I was honestly really stressful todo trying not to get caught and have 0 bounty to my name. I went from the sewers and found my way through the Guards Living Quarters, up the building, with small narrow corridors, until I reached the library and stole the Elder Scroll from the Blind Monks. After escaping back through the sewers I returned to Grey Fox, and sent me to Anvil to give the Countess of Anvil a wedding Ring which was then revealed with Grey Fox appearing without his mask announcing that he was her husband that had been missing for 10 years and that he will be making me the guildmaster and Grey Fox of the thieves guild, completing the guild questline.
16th-20th of Frost Fall, 3E433
After becoming the Grey Fox, I woke up feeling pale to later be told by Raminus Polus that I might have contracted vampirism and didn't know much but I should speak to Janus Hassildor of Skingrad. Upon meeting him, I learn't that himself and his wife both are vampires but he seeks the cure only for his wife to end her suffering. He directs me to Melisande, a witch out in Drakelowe. Upon speaking to Melisande, she knew a way to cure vampirism but I would have to gather her 5 grand soul gems and return. I gathered the said items and am told to go back and slay a strong vampire named Hindaril, gather blood of an argonian, and collect some ingredients for her to then be able to make the potion.
21st-26th of Frost Fall, 3E433
I started heading over to Redwater Slough to slay Hindaril. I entered the cave and fought vampires and rats, and finally reaching Hindaril and slaying him. I had tried to find a legal way to get blood from an argonian so I tried joining the fighters guild and accidentally killed all the rats in a basement but that didn't work out. I then approached the Shrine of Nocturnal, a Daedric. Nocturnal asked me to retrieve the Eye of Nocturnal from two argonians. This gave me hope that I might have to slay them, but I didn't have the legality to poke them. But upon returning the Eye, I was awarded with a Daedric artifact that can only any lock without breaking the lockpick itself. So I will return this to Martin at Cloud Ruler Temple when I get the chance next.
27th-30th of Frost Fall, 3E433
Desperately wanting to cure my vampirism, so I then went to the closest town I could to quickly swipe at an argonian for some blood having to pay a fine for my crime but it was worth it. I then traveled to multiple cities and merchants to find the right ingredients that I needed to return. I hand Melisande all the ingredients I had set out to get and came back the next day to receive the potion. She hands me two and I return to Janus Hassildor of Skingrad to heal his wife. She passes and Janus gives me a money reward for my efforts and off to Cloud Ruler Temple I go to continue my main quest!
